My thoughts are a little scattered, but I wanted to write about the Beijing airport. It is very large. I decided to get outside to see what lay beyond the airport. Well, also I have to check out my baggage and take it through customs, which was easy to do. Coming in international, you are expected to pass through customs before you transfer domestically. After I went outside, I started looking for my terminal...which was about two large buildings away. I walked there, rechecked my bags for my domestic flight to Yantai, and headed to the gate. On my way, there were many shops, including a lot of shops I have seen at American malls. There are also some very chinese shops, which carry sweets and treats, and sodas and things of that nature. The Beijing airport just added a new modern terminal, shaped like a dragon!!! Enter the dragon! I saw it as I walked from the terminal to the bus that ferried me to the domestic plane sitting out on the tarmac.
