I have been going to Jackie's since my friend Allen introduced me there. I like it there. I have written about it before, so I won't reiterate it for you here. A few weeks ago I asked Jackie whether I could play on his stage some night. He said if I did, he would provide me free beers and a burger for the time. I have been back a few times since then, and I just bring my guitar with me. I'm looking for an opportune time to whip it out and play. Well, tonight I found a few of those. Jackie let me play on stage, and he liked it. We agreed that I will come back on Tuesday to do a sound check. I think I might be playing there Friday night? Maybe for a banquet or party? So, I am working on a play list for it. Playing live music is great, because you just roll all of your mistakes into the song, and it becomes art, painted your colors, and your mistakes make it more human, more related to our lives. We are human to err, and erring makes us more human, but still the music must go on.
