The Music Spot

I went to Jackie's as a celebration for transferring money back to my US bank account. I took the student, John, who helped me at the bank as a way of saying thank you. I bough a guitar last month. I saw that Jackie, the owner of Jackie's could use some music. I asked him whether he had live music. He said he does, but the band he normally employed broke up. I asked him, whether I could play there. he said yes. I told him I play alone, and I play the blues. He thought that would be a good form of entertainment. So, I asked him, whether he would provide me with free beer. He said, that he would, and anything else I wanted. I think he meant burgers and food, and beer. I bought our meals, drank a few cokes, and then I bought some cheese. Jackie's carries the best assortment of cheese in Yantai.

I have been practicing Nirvana's "Lake of Fire", Cross Canadian Ragweed's "Leave Me Alone", Nickel Creek's "Reason Why", The Shins' "Phantom Limb" among other songs. I want to come up with a list of ten songs I can play, which suit my musical style and voice. I am thinking of learning some Tom Waits, even though his name is Tom, and he is crazy. He has a rough voice and he play lots of great music.
