Today, I am giving an English seminar for English teachers. Josh
and his department organized a seminar for English teachers. I am teaching for six hours today. I just get up there and talk, ask questions, and answer questions. The teachers are more talkative than my students, I noticed. I am giving them tips and pointers about English for their own education as well as their students.
I recently became an advocate for Chinese English,
although I continue to respect and encourage western grammar. Chinese English is the form of using Chinese grammar with English words and sentences.
China is an old culture that knows respect and how to celebrate life. Chinese people love to eat food, and to enjoy the company of others. They enjoy expressing their opinions and thoughts to their friends. Chinese personalities are as diverse as American personalities. I have met so many different people, and each one is unique in their perspective, interests and goals.
I am also meeting a lot of expatriates from around the world, here in China.

Everyone is intrigued by the culture here, and the vast differences along with the peculiar similarities between cultures. I often extol the virtues of American infrastructure and the Chinese social culture. The joy of sharing food, company and the learning experience is a great relief from the joy of sharing infrastructure, but there is more than enough infrastructure, both modern and ancient here in China to satisfy even the most critical happy man.
